The Raptors Migration at the Strait of Gibraltar is one of the amazing nature displays you could watch near to your eyes . 80 recorded Species, more than 600.000 birds crossing every year from Europe to Africa through the Srait of gibralar 190.000 of them Raptors.. It is one of the 5 better places   in the world to  spot the birds migration.
pWe invite you to share with us a fantastic  birding tour where you could feel,watch and  enjoy  this migration in the south of Andalucia .The southern region of spain where everybody fall in love with his people,food and wine. It is one of the best places  with endemic  species and you could find an old  paleartic ecosystem.
pWe have the local Knowledge  assisting for more than 30 years to the Migration. And we will bring to you the better view points along the Strait everyday  depend on  local winds and Weather. You  could have  the opportunity the photograph this fantastic  spectacle  from a privilege position.
This tour is not only for raptors you could enjoy different surrondings places  where  identified insects,mamals,Butterflies,Dragonflies and amphibians. as  well as some of  local endemic plants.

DAY 1   
Pick Up from the airport (Malaga,Gibraltar.Jerez or Sevilla)  and transfer to our Hotel, with one stop in the Mirador del Estrecho,Tarifa.Where you could see in front of you the Jebel Mussa Mountain of Africa.Only 14 Km. distance.
DAY 2-6

Tour dates: 2nd-8th October- 2010
Price 2010: 1400 Euros.
Include:  transport,  including Airport transfers (from/to Airport of Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera,Malaga or Gibraltar), full-time guiding all accommodation and all meals.
Exclude: Flights, insurance and personal costs,loundry,and drinks.

Recomendations: The autumm weather could be warm enough to enjoy a swimm in the hotel after our birding day please bring  your customs as well as a hat and a confortable  pair of shoes.

ITINERARY
Our first day will be to pick up you from the airport (Gibraltar,Malaga,Jerez or Sevilla) and transfer to our Hotel. El palomar de la Brezña near Tarifa. And we make and stop in the
Mirador del Estrecho where you could see in front of you The D´Jebel Mussa Mountain. The nearest point of Africa only 14 KM.
The rest of the week, depend on weather conditions and local widns we will adapt the tour itineraries for the most convenience points to watch the raptors activities and the Migration movement.we could see Egiptyan Vulture,Booted Eagles,Shortoed Eagles,White and Black Storks,Griffon Vulture,Ruppel´s Vulture,Black Kites,etc.
And we will have time to visit different surrondings places, La Janda will be one of them, It was one of the most important extensive wetland areas on the Iberian peninsula. Currently, L Janda are very heterogeneous with regards to vegetation with a few  wild olive dehesas, and pasturelands and cultivations that include and interesting community of grassland species such as Common Crane, Collared Pntricole,Black-winged Kite and Montagu´s Harrier. With other species like differents ducks, Glossy Ibis, Purple Gallinule, Nightjar,as well Grey and Squacco Herons, Avocets Black-winged Stilts, Black-tailed and Bar-tailed
Godwits, Collared Pratincoles, Kentish Plovers and Eurasian Spoonbills. .
At the end of September and first of october in The Alcornocales Natural Park the evergreen cork-Oak forest give us the opportunity to  enjoy watching not only so many bird species like Jay,Iberian Green Woodpecker (ssp. sharpei), the N. African race (numidus) of Great Spotted Woodpecker Crested and the darker Common Redstarts, southern race of Long-tailed Tit, Black Redstart, Wryneck and Short-toed Treecreeper. Stonechat, Whinchat, Bee-eaters,etc, if not the amazing Deer breeding display.
All around us in the different habitat, from bushes to tree areas we will see Little Owl, Hawfinch,Barn of thousands Swallow with Red-rumped Swallow and Alpine Swift waiting for a good weather for migrate to Africa, Greater and Lesser Short-toed Lark,. White-rumped and Little Swift and Crag Martin can also be watched with regularity Blue Rock Thrush and Ortolan Buntings
Other habitat to visit will be the coastal line, with a profuse number of species, Greenshanks, Lesser Crested Tern, roosting Gulls, Yellow-legged Gull with good numbers of the rare Audouin’s Gull. Caspian, Sandwich and Little Tern and waders include Sanderlings Redshanks,Turnstones, Grey Plover, Kentish Plover and Ringed Plover.
How forget one of the most beautiful beaches of the southern Spain, Bolonia where is placed the Baelo Claudia Romans Ruins. Here we will visit a Griffon vulture colony living in a fantastic cleef rock, and the Moorish Cave with ancient paintings where breeding the rare little Swift.
Depend on weather conditions we will do a Whale and dolphin watching tour on board of a nice boat with biologyst guides Strait of Gibraltar where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. There is a high concentration of marine mammals: Pilot Whales, Sperm Whales, Orcas Fin Whales and 3 species of dolphins.
